About Alyner

Most practices could offer aligners.
Very few actually do.

Not because dentists cannot do the work, but because the work around it is disproportionate: assessment, planning, orthodontic sign-off, manufacturing, then a year of appointments checking teeth that are mostly fine. Alyner takes that load.

What we do

Scan, submit, and the rest is ours.

A practice scans a patient and submits the case. Four things happen next, and only one of them needs the practice’s chair.

Assessment

Measurements are taken from the scan and photographs, and a suitability view is produced with the evidence behind it.

Sign-off

A registered clinician qualified to prescribe in that country reviews and approves the plan. Every plan. No exceptions.

Manufacturing

Approval releases the order. Aligners are produced and shipped to the practice.

Changes the economics

Monitoring

The patient scans at home with their phone. Each scan is measured against the plan; the practice only sees the ones that need a clinician.

A twelve-month course used to mean a dozen appointments to confirm things were going as expected. Now the routine ones happen on a phone in a kitchen, and chair time is spent where it is needed.

Where the AI sits

AI never makes the clinical decision.

It measures, it flags, and it explains what it found. A registered clinician decides. That is not a policy we ask people to remember; it is enforced in the database.

Every AI-produced row stores the model version that produced it, so any verdict can be reproduced months later. When a clinician overrides a recommendation, the override is recorded, because a model whose disagreement rate nobody measures is a model nobody should trust.

The model

  • Measures tooth movement
  • Flags scans off-plan
  • Suggests a verdict
  • Explains its evidence

The clinician

  • Approves every plan
  • Records every scan decision
  • Holds or advances trays
  • Can override, on the record
Plan approval requires a role permitted to prescribe and a professional registration number on file, such as a GDC number. The system refuses the action otherwise.
Clinical governance

Built so the safe path is the only path.

The rules that matter are not in a handbook. They are constraints the software cannot be talked out of.

Registered clinicians only

Plan approval is restricted to the clinical roles a country permits to prescribe, and only to clinicians with a registration number recorded against their account. In the UK, an orthodontist on the GDC register; elsewhere, the local regulator.

A full audit trail

Every read and write of a patient record is logged with who, when and from where, and can be produced per patient for a subject access request.

Patient safety rails

A patient cannot advance past an aligner a clinician has held, or advance while their last scan reads no-go. The app explains why rather than silently refusing.

Where your data lives

Patient health data is stored in the EU.

The platform’s database and file storage run in Helsinki, Finland. That is a legal requirement for the records we hold, not an infrastructure preference, and it constrains which suppliers we can use. More in our security practices and data protection notice.

Who we build for

Two kinds of customer. One pipeline.

General practices

Dentists and hygienists who want to offer aligners without hiring an orthodontist or committing to a lab minimum.

Groups and resellers

Multi-site groups running one pipeline across every practice, and partners who resell under their own brand with their own domain and patient app. Resellers see network totals, never patient records: each practice stays the controller of its own patients.

If you run a practice, that is a half-hour conversation. If you build software that should talk to ours, the partner API is open.
